Pastor Katie talks of her own experiences in long travels, and how growing up, there were very few ways to communicate instantly, communication was complicated, arranging travel was complex and scary. She tells the story of returning home to visit family, whilst sporting a new haircut. She says, similar to the disciples in Luke 24, oftentimes lived experiences and emotions can overshadow ones emotions, much as the disciples didn’t recognize Jesus upon his return, Katie explains how her mother hadn’t noticed her new haircut.
